Apple Music, Spotify and system audio, with a waveform drawn from the real sound.
A notch above the rest
One live bar in the notch of every Mac display. Your music and its real waveform, your next meeting and timers, Codex and Claude usage, Wi-Fi, and what your Mac is doing right now. Plus Super Note.

The resultOne bar. Every display.
Always live.
Most try to do everything.
Cyclops keeps only what you’ll actually use.
Cyclops lives where your eye already goes. It turns the notch, or a virtual one on displays without it, into a quiet black bar that knows what is playing, what is next, how long your timer has left, how much AI quota you have, and how hard your Mac is working. Hover to peek. Click to go deeper. Swipe up and it gets out of your way.
Interactive demo
A working model of Cyclops 1.3.2 on a Mac. Hover, click, drag and type: it responds the way the real app does.
Mirror only. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.
You just learned all of Cyclops. Seriously, that’s it.

Now Playing & Background Sounds
The waveform is drawn from the actual sound coming out of your player, analysed on device about twenty times a second. Silence rests flat. Apple Music, Spotify and system sources are picked up automatically. Flip the player to macOS Background Sounds for Ocean, Rain or Night, each with its own artwork.
Calendar & Timers
One slot, two rings. The teal ring fills toward your next meeting, then tracks its progress. The amber ring counts down your timer. Open it for your day, your month, a one-click Join, and timers that keep counting through sleep, lock and even quitting the app.
Drag to move through time
Webcam mirror
Click the camera and a mirrored preview drops out of the notch. Pick Small, Medium or Large, and use macOS camera effects. The camera turns off the moment the preview is hidden. Cyclops never records, never uploads and never touches your microphone.
Optional. Your browser asks first, and the video never leaves this page.
Vibe View: Codex & Claude
Codex and Claude usage live right in the bar. See what is left, when it resets and how you have been working: tokens, active days, streaks and your longest turn. Each provider is independent, and if a reading can’t be verified, Cyclops says so instead of guessing.
Activity Monitor
Whole-machine CPU, GPU and memory in the bar, with two-minute history graphs, memory composition and pressure in the card. It samples only while you’re looking and stops when your Mac locks or sleeps. No permission needed.
Multi Status
A tiny ring shows your battery or UPS, the centre shows your network, and four dots show the volume. Click it for live download and upload rates, nearby Wi-Fi networks with connect and disconnect, and volume and brightness sliders.
New Super Note
Click the green notepad and a composer drops out of the notch. Type it or say it, then save it to Apple Notes, or hand it to Codex or Claude Code. Your draft is kept until you’re done.
Create Note in the folder you choose, or Add to Note. Cyclops reads it back to confirm it landed.
Open in Codex prefills a new chat for your project. You review it and press send.
Open in Claude Code prefills the composer for your folder. Nothing is sent without you.
Keyboard-first, with dictation. ⌘↩ sends, Esc closes, and the draft is waiting next time.
System feedback
Volume, brightness, battery, AirPods and Focus get a calmer, notch-native look on every display.
Drag it. Media keys, output routing and a soft feedback sound.
Built-in and external displays, with optional BetterDisplay.
Charging, low battery and low power alerts, right where you’re looking.
Drawn outlines that turn as they connect, with battery levels.
Know which Focus you’re in the moment it changes.
Music, calendar, weather, battery and Focus widgets while your Mac is locked.
Efficiency
Everything you need. Nothing you don’t.
Measured on Cyclops 1.3.2 (build 56) on Apple silicon: 12.8 MB installed on disk, and the median of 60 one-second CPU samples with the bar collapsed. Short bursts happen while you interact.
Multi-display
Your external display gets the same bar, with the waveform stretched across the centre. Choose which displays Cyclops appears on.

Privacy and honesty
Video only, preview only. No recording, no upload, no microphone, and it stops as soon as you look away.
Super Note drafts live on your Mac. Text goes only where you send it, and agents are only prefilled, never sent to.
No analytics, no telemetry, no sign-up. Network requests happen only for features you turn on.
Stale or missing readings say “Not available.” An expired sign-in says so instead of showing yesterday’s quota.
The waveform is computed locally from your Mac’s audio output, and capture never starts without your consent.
Wi-Fi names need Location, Notes needs automation: each is asked only when you use it, never at launch.
Questions
Any Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 15 or later. It works on MacBooks with a notch and on external displays without one, where Cyclops draws a virtual notch.
A notepad that drops out of the notch. Type or dictate, then create or add to a note in Apple Notes, or open the text in Codex or Claude Code, where you review and send it yourself. Drafts are kept on your Mac.
Apple Music and Spotify, plus other apps that report to the system’s Now Playing. You can also switch the player to macOS Background Sounds.
Codex usage comes from the installed Codex app’s own sign-in. For Claude, sign in once from Vibe View settings or use your existing Claude Code sign-in. Cyclops only reads quota information; it never sends model requests.
The whole app is 12.8 MB installed, and its median CPU use while resting in the notch measured 0.4%. Sampling pauses when your Mac locks or sleeps.
Only for the features you use: Calendar for events, Camera for the mirror, audio capture for the live waveform, Accessibility for media keys, Location for Wi-Fi names, and automation for your music app, browser and Apple Notes.
